It’s been a couple days since I’ve made a post. I’m sorry, I’ll try to be better next time. Please believe me, I swear I’ll change.Yesterday was a long day, not only was it the first day back after a three-day weekend, but it was also the first day of football practice. As some of you may or may not know, I have signed on to help coach freshman football for next year–which means I’m learning plays and formations during Spring and Summer. It’s nice being out on the field with a football team again, it reminds me of how much I enjoyed playing football. I really wish I could have kept it up for a longer amount of time.
The one thing I don’t miss from football was the 240’s (ie, running the entire field) which out guys are running 11 of on Mondays. That means up and back counts as one. Ten more to go.
All of this makes for a long day, but it is a lot of fun. Where else can I act as a runningback or a quarterback without look completely stupid? Today’s practice looks a little soggy, but my complimentary coach’s gear will keep me at least a little bit dry.
