It’s gone and happened, I finally got my truck… er… Jess’ and my truck. It’s a 2004 Ford F150 Supercab–it’s dark grey and it is a nice ride.
Jess, my dad and I drove up to a dealership in Tigard after some not so great run-ins at other dealerships. At first we stared checking out this F250 Crewcab which was about four to five thousand below bluebook. We sit down and start filling out papers until the manager walks by and quickly says, “The price on the tag was wrong” and walks away. We were left starring at each other in amazement.
As it turns out, the gal doing the detailing put the tag in the wrong rig… at our expense. So we get rightly ticked and start working that anger into a deal into a truck we wanted more than that F250. So it all works out for the best, especially since we talked the dealership into putting on runningboards and paying the licensing fees.
Jess likes the truck so much that I’ll come home from practice and she’ll ask me if there is any place I’d like to go. When I say, “No, not really.” She asks me if I’m sure, I’ll say, “well, I guess I could go to Safeway.” She smiles and says, “Good, I’ll drive” and snatches the keys to the truck out of my hand.
Moose is adapting well, he’s had his first ride in the back to the truck. He was shaking pretty good at first, but he started to enjoy himself but putting his head over the side and looking at everything.
