You’re the birthday boy or girl…

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

To the most remarkable woman who helped me find what I could be and do everything I should be doing.  Each day I’m happier than the last and with each day I’m a better person than I was, all because of you.  Thank you for making me push myself, better myself, and hold myself to [...] Read more »

Seize the summer.
The first couple days of our offical summer break have been taken up by painting Jessica’s new third grade classroom.  Previous to our two-day painting extravaganza, it was an ugly off-white room with dried vomit tanish-brown accents.  Now, it is graced with brilliant white walls with glacial pool blue accents.  Honestly, it went [...] Read more »

The race for a little less… Update

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

I’m still steadily chugging along with my eatinf and exercise plan. As of two minutes ago, I weighed in at 252 pounds. That’s an over all weight loss of 48 pounds, or 16% of my original body weight. I’m almost a size and half smaller in my pants and a size smaller in my shirt, it is nice to only see one “X” attached to your clothing. Read more »

I’m not sure if it was because it was a courtroom drama or the many undertones of racism, economic division, and murder. The proof that they really understood and liked the play came with the final; usually there are people who struggle through the final and skip questions. Out of all of my juniors and seniors, only one question was skipped. Read more »

Nowhere near godliness

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

As Jessica and my wife routinely discuss, I am not the cleanest of individuals. I shower everday (for the most part), I change my clothes at least once a day and I’ve even been known clean up after myself. My current cleaning battle has to do with the reusable tupperware-ish containers with which I bring my lunch to school. Every day, I have my lunch in the teacher’s lounge, close up my container once I’m done and bring it and my fork back to my classroom. The problem lies in my ability to take the empty container from my desk to back home. Right now, I only have a couple of containers sitting next to my computer, but there have been times when I’ve had to use a small garbage bag to bring home all of my containers. Read more »

May the Vilanch be with you

Monday, June 9th, 2008

It was kind of difficult to fall asleep last night; after 15 minutes of laying in bed, I got stuck on a thought. For some reason, my mind decided to plan ahead just incase I need to attend a costume party. I had the distinct thought that if I needed to dress up, it would be a great idea to adorn myself as Bruce Vilanch’s face. Some very detailed plans were laid out just prior to falling asleep.
