The University of Scallop Burritos

…is who came to play against the USC Trojans this past weekend. My dad and I flew down to see the game and hang out with his friend Jerry. I was surprised that the USC fans were so polite, we were only booed once and it was actually in fairly good taste (as good as booing can be). I expected a little more than what we saw. The USC campus was very nice and equally as large. What I liked was that as we walked around campus, people were tailgating all over, it showed a lot of community support as well as tie in with the university. The game was a mangled head up of spread offense. The worst part wasn’t that we lost, rather, that we had that glimmer of hope that came with the first touchdown. After that it was that nauseating repetitious beating of the ducks. Read more »

Hit Cruise Control and Rubbed My Eyes

Monday, June 18th, 2007

My nose the texture of a lightly smoked beef jerky and the tops of my knees the same color of pink as that of a jumper of a newborn baby girl. Every time I scrunch my face, it feels like crinkled up paper.
Ah, the start of summer.

As well, it’s the sanctified birthday of our buddy, our pal, Greg Miller. I’m sure we’ll all give a synchronized finger wag to that.March and April [...] Read more »

Grey days rolling, Then you’ll see him

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

On the days when it hasn’t rained, or at least, wasn’t raining too much, the Grove’s two baseball teams have sprinted onto the ol’ diamond ball field to swing the pine to round out 7 innings with a mark scratched into the win column. Well, the pine was swung, but the end result has yet [...] Read more »

Drop off the Key, Lee… Set Yourself Free

Friday, January 27th, 2006

Not much to report, been kind of a slow news week. But I’ll give it a shot:
-Went to the Oregon vs. UCLA Basketball game, I forgot how much I love Mac Court. I still think it would be a shame to replace it. In the spirit of U of O athletics, they lost in the [...] Read more »

Make sure to wear some flowers in your hair?

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

I’ve been neglectful, I know… enough with the feigned guilt. The bad thing about putting off posting in one’s blog is that by the time that they actually feel they should blog, there is far too much to blog with.
Over the past month and half, there has been a lot that has been going on. [...] Read more »
